BarrelConnect ("we," "us," or "our") is operated by Apps 1, LLC. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the BarrelConnect mobile application and website (collectively, the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to the practices described below.

Information you provide: Name, email address, profile photo, bio, horse profiles, run times, and any content you post (photos, videos, comments). If you subscribe to premium features or use the marketplace, we collect payment information processed securely through Stripe.

Automatically collected: Device type, operating system, app version, IP address, general location data, usage analytics (pages viewed, features used, session duration), crash logs, and push-notification tokens.

Third-party sources: If you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive your name and email as authorized by you.

2. How We Use Your Information

• Provide, maintain, and improve the Service.
• Process transactions and send related information.
• Send push notifications about events, messages, and updates (you can opt out in Settings).
• Personalize your experience and recommend content.
• Enforce our Terms of Service and Community Guidelines, including content moderation.
• Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents.
• Comply with legal obligations.

We never sell your personal data to third parties.

3. How We Share Your Information

We may share your information with:

• Service providers — Stripe (payments), Supabase (database), Agora (live streaming), Google Analytics, and cloud hosting providers that help us operate the Service.
• Other users — Your public profile, posts, and marketplace listings are visible to other users of the Service.
• Legal requirements — When required by law, subpoena, or government request, or to protect our rights and safety.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely using industry-standard encryption (TLS in transit, AES-256 at rest). We use Supabase for database management and Stripe for payment processing, both of which maintain strict security standards. While no system is 100 % secure, we implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards.

5. Data Retention

We retain your data as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. Upon account deletion, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law or necessary for legitimate business purposes (e.g., fraud prevention, financial records).

6. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

• Access and receive a copy of your personal data.
• Correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
• Delete your personal data.

BarrelConnect is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If we discover we have collected such data, we will delete it immediately.
