1. Acceptance of Terms

By using BarrelConnect, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the app.

2. Age Requirements

You must be 13+ to use BarrelConnect. You must be 18+ to make purchases, subscribe to premium, or list items on the marketplace. Users under 18 must have parental consent.

3. Account Responsibility

You're responsible for your account security and all activity under your account. Keep your password secure and notify us immediately of unauthorized access.

4. User Content

You retain ownership of content you post (photos, videos, listings). By posting, you grant BarrelConnect a non-exclusive license to display it within the app. You agree not to post content that is illegal, harmful, or infringes on others' rights.

5. Community Guidelines

BarrelConnect is committed to maintaining a safe, respectful, and welcoming community for all barrel racers and equestrian enthusiasts. All users must follow these guidelines when using any part of the Service, including the community feed, messaging, marketplace, event comments, and live streams.

5.1 Respectful Behavior

• Treat all users with courtesy and respect.
• Do not harass, bully, intimidate, or threaten other users.
• Do not post hate speech, slurs, or discriminatory content based on race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, religion, disability, or any other protected characteristic.

5.2 Prohibited Content

The following content is strictly prohibited:

• Sexually explicit or pornographic material.
• Graphic violence or content promoting self-harm.
• Content that promotes illegal activities.
• Spam, scams, phishing, or misleading information.
• Content that infringes on intellectual property rights.
• Animal abuse or content depicting animal cruelty.
• Personal information of others shared without consent (doxxing).

5.3 Content Moderation

BarrelConnect employs a combination of automated tools and human review to moderate content. We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these guidelines without prior notice. Moderation decisions are made at our sole discretion.

5.4 Reporting Violations

If you encounter content or behavior that violates these guidelines, please report it immediately using the in-app report feature (tap the ⋯ menu on any post, comment, message, or profile and select Report). You may also email support@barrelconnect.pro. All reports are reviewed by our moderation team, typically within 24–48 hours.

5.5 Blocking Users

You can block any user at any time from their profile (⋯ menu → Block). Blocked users cannot view your profile, send you messages, or interact with your content. You can manage your blocked list in Settings → Privacy → Blocked Users.

5.6 Enforcement Actions

Violations of these Community Guidelines may result in one or more of the following actions, at our sole discretion:

• A warning notification.
• Removal of the offending content.
• Temporary suspension of your account.
• Permanent ban and account termination.
• Reporting to law enforcement where required by law or where there is a risk to safety.

Repeat or severe violations will result in escalated enforcement. Users who are permanently banned may not create new accounts.

6. Marketplace

BarrelConnect facilitates connections between buyers and sellers but is not a party to transactions. We are not responsible for the quality, safety, or legality of listings. Users are solely responsible for verifying horses, equipment, services, and all transaction details.

7. User Disputes

BarrelConnect is not responsible for disputes between users, including but not limited to: marketplace transactions, hauling services, training/coaching services, event entries, or any other user-to-user interactions. Users agree to resolve disputes directly with each other.

8. Prohibited Conduct

No harassment, fraud, illegal activity, spam, or misrepresentation of horses/services. Violations will result in immediate account termination.

9. Premium Features

Subscription terms and pricing may change with 30 days notice. See Refund Policy for cancellation terms.

10. Advertising & Promotions

Advertisements are provided "as-is" with no guarantees of performance, impressions, or results. Ad fees are non-refundable once published. BarrelConnect reserves the right to reject or remove any ad at our discretion. Advertisers are responsible for the accuracy and legality of their ad content. BarrelConnect is not liable for any losses resulting from advertising campaigns.

11. Limitation of Liability

BarrelConnect is not liable for: Injuries, horse-related incidents, or disputes between users; Failure of the emergency alert feature due to network connectivity, GPS inaccuracy, device settings, carrier issues, or any other technical limitations; Delays or failures in emergency contact notifications; Any damages resulting from reliance on the emergency alert system; Loss of data, revenue, or profits; Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

The emergency alert feature is provided as a convenience tool only and is not a substitute for calling 911 or emergency services directly. Users are solely responsible for ensuring their own safety and the safety of their animals.

12. No Warranty

BarrelConnect is provided "as-is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee the app will be error-free, uninterrupted, or meet your specific needs.

13. Third-Party Services & Links

BarrelConnect integrates with third-party services (Stripe, Google Maps, Agora, etc.) and may contain links to external websites. We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or availability of third-party services.

14. Intellectual Property

BarrelConnect, including its logo, design, and features, is owned by BarrelConnect. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the app without prior written permission. Any unauthorized use must cease immediately upon written notice. Only authorized representatives of BarrelConnect may grant permission for use of intellectual property.

15. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless BarrelConnect, its owners, and affiliates from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the app, your content, or your violation of these terms.

16. Data & Privacy

See our Privacy Policy for how we collect, use, and protect your data. You have the right to request deletion of your account and data at any time.

17. Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms without notice. You may delete your account at any time through app settings.

18. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of BarrelConnect shall be resolved through binding arbitration in the user's country of residence, in accordance with local arbitration rules. You waive any right to participate in class action lawsuits.

19. Governing Law

For users in the United States: governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming. For users in Canada: governed by Canadian federal law and the laws of the user's province. For users in Australia: governed by Australian law. For users in Brazil: governed by Brazilian law. For all other countries: governed by the laws of the user's country of residence, or Wyoming law where local law permits.

20. Modification of Terms

We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance. We will notify users of significant changes.

21. Professional Services Disclaimer

BarrelConnect does not verify, endorse, or guarantee any professionals listed on the platform, including but not limited to: veterinarians, farriers, trainers, coaches, haulers, or any other service providers. Users are solely responsible for verifying credentials, licenses, insurance, and qualifications. BarrelConnect is not liable for any damages, injuries, or losses resulting from services provided by professionals found through the app.

22. Ambassadors, Influencers & Promoters

Any individuals who promote BarrelConnect (ambassadors, influencers, sponsored riders, affiliates, etc.) are independent parties and do not represent BarrelConnect. Their opinions, statements, and actions are their own. BarrelConnect is not liable for any claims, promises, or representations made by promoters. Promoters are not authorized to make guarantees or commitments on behalf of BarrelConnect.

23. No Agency Relationship

Nothing in these terms creates an employment, partnership, joint venture, or agency relationship between BarrelConnect and any user, service provider, promoter, or advertiser.

24. Assumption of Risk

Barrel racing and equine activities are inherently dangerous. By using BarrelConnect, you acknowledge and accept all risks associated with equine activities, travel, and in-person interactions with other users. You voluntarily assume all risk of injury, death, or property damage.

25. Complete Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, BarrelConnect, its owners, officers, employees, affiliates, and agents shall not be liable for ANY damages whatsoever, including but not limited to: direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, regardless of cause or theory of liability, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

26. International Users

BarrelConnect operates internationally. By using the app, you consent to the transfer of your data to the United States for processing. We comply with applicable data protection laws including GDPR (EU), Australian Privacy Act, LGPD (Brazil), and PIPEDA (Canada).

27. Severability

If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

28. Entire Agreement

These terms, along with our Privacy Policy and Refund Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and BarrelConnect.
