Getting Started

How do I download BarrelConnect?

BarrelConnect is available on the Apple App Store (iOS) and Google Play Store (Android). Search for "BarrelConnect" or visit our homepage at barrelconnect.pro for direct download links.

How do I create an account?

Open the app, tap Sign Up, and register with your email address or sign in with Apple/Google. Complete your profile by adding a display name, profile photo, and optional bio.

What features are free?

Free features include browsing events, viewing community posts, basic horse profiles, and access to the marketplace. Premium features like live streaming, AI run analysis, and advanced statistics require a subscription.

Account Management

How do I edit my profile?

Go to Profile → Edit Profile. You can update your display name, bio, profile photo, and notification preferences at any time.

How do I reset my password?

On the login screen, tap Forgot Password and enter your email. You'll receive a password reset link within a few minutes. Check your spam folder if you don't see it.

How do I delete my account?

Navigate to Profile → Settings → Delete Account. This will permanently remove your profile, posts, and data within 30 days. You can also request deletion by emailing support@barrelconnect.pro.

How do I request a copy of my data?

Email support@barrelconnect.pro with the subject line "Data Export Request." We will provide your data within 30 days in a portable format.

Events & Participation

How do I find events near me?

Use the Events tab in the app. You can filter by location, date, and event type. Enable location services for the best results.

How do I submit an event?

Event organizers can submit events through our Submit Event page or within the app. Events are reviewed before being published.

Can I share events with friends?

Yes! Tap the share icon on any event listing to share it via text, email, or social media.

Community & Social Features

What can I post in the community feed?

Share photos, videos, run times, event recaps, horse updates, and more. All posts must comply with our Community Guidelines. Prohibited content includes harassment, hate speech, explicit material, spam, and illegal activity.

How do I follow other riders?

Visit a rider's profile and tap Follow. Their posts will appear in your community feed.

Can I send direct messages?

Yes. Tap the message icon on any user's profile to start a conversation. You can block or mute users at any time from the conversation settings.

Safety & Reporting

How do I report a user or content?

Tap the three-dot menu (⋯) on any post, comment, message, or user profile and select Report. Choose the reason (e.g., harassment, spam, inappropriate content) and submit. Our moderation team reviews all reports and takes action within 24–48 hours.

How do I block a user?

Visit the user's profile, tap the three-dot menu (⋯), and select Block. Blocked users cannot view your profile, send you messages, or interact with your content. You can manage blocked users in Settings → Privacy → Blocked Users.

What happens after I report someone?

Our trust and safety team reviews every report. Depending on the severity, actions may include a warning, content removal, temporary suspension, or permanent ban. We may not disclose specific outcomes for privacy reasons, but we take all reports seriously.

Emergency alert feature

BarrelConnect includes an optional emergency alert feature. This is a convenience tool only and is not a substitute for calling 911 or local emergency services directly. See our Terms of Service for full details.

Marketplace

How do I list an item for sale?

Go to the Marketplace tab, tap Create Listing, and fill in the details (photos, description, price). Listings are reviewed before going live. You must be 18 or older to list items.

Is BarrelConnect responsible for transactions?

No. BarrelConnect facilitates connections between buyers and sellers but is not a party to any transaction. Users are solely responsible for verifying items, services, and payment. See our Terms of Service for details.

How do I report a suspicious listing?

Tap the three-dot menu (⋯) on the listing and select Report. Our team will investigate and remove fraudulent listings.

Premium & Billing

What does Premium include?

Premium subscribers get access to live streaming, AI run analysis, advanced horse statistics, priority event listings, and an ad-free experience.

How do I manage my subscription?

Subscriptions are managed through your device's app store (Apple App Store or Google Play Store). Go to your store's subscription settings to upgrade, downgrade, or cancel.

What is the refund policy?

Please see our full Refund Policy page for details. In general, refunds for subscriptions are handled through your device's app store.

Troubleshooting

The app is crashing or not loading

Try the following steps: (1) Force close and reopen the app. (2) Check for app updates in your device's app store. (3) Restart your device. (4) Ensure you have a stable internet connection. If the issue persists, contact support@barrelconnect.pro with your device model and OS version.

I'm not receiving notifications

Ensure notifications are enabled in both your device settings and the app (Settings → Notifications). On iOS, go to Settings → BarrelConnect → Notifications. On Android, go to Settings → Apps → BarrelConnect → Notifications.

Event data seems incorrect

Events are submitted by organizers and community members. If you notice incorrect information, use the report feature on the event or email us so we can update it.
